Matthew Dorsey
Summer Analyst Intern
Prior to joining Midwest Growth Partners, Matthew gained experience in equity research roles, where he conducted valuation analysis and prepared investment memos focused on the semiconductor and communication services sectors. He also started a small business, providing tutoring, lawn maintenance, and snow removal services in the West Des Moines community. Matthew will be interning as an investment banking summer analyst at J.P. Morgan in Chicago next year and hopes to return full‑time after graduation.
EDUCATION
Matthew began his collegiate career at the University of South Carolina before transferring to the University of Iowa, where he is currently pursuing a B.B.A. degree in Finance and Corporate Accounting with Honors. He is actively involved in the university’s investment banking program, the Hawkinson Institute, serves as a representative for the Student Advancement Network, and tutors Hawkeye student‑athletes.
FUN FACTS
Matthew is a native of West Des Moines and currently lives in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with his parents, Paul and Stacey, when he is not attending school. Outside of the office, he can often be found on the golf course or spending time with friends and family. He is also active in his church and enjoys basketball, being outdoors, and cheering on the Florida Gators, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Cubs.
